Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack .NET Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building robust .NET applications using .NET Core (required), .NET Framework, C#, JavaScript, and a variety of backend and frontend technologies. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and modernize the current architecture, clean up existing projects, and collaborate with the team to enhance various layers of the infrastructure. A strong focus on collaborative problem solving, innovative design, and delivering high-quality products is essential for this position.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop Functional Applications: Translate application storyboards and use cases into fully functional applications.
  • Code Design and Maintenance: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Data Storage Integration: Integrate data storage solutions, ensuring optimal performance and data management.
  • Ensure Optimal Performance: Continuously ensure the best performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify bottlenecks, bugs, and other issues, and devise effective solutions to address them.
  • Code Quality and Automation: Help maintain high standards of code quality, organization, and automation practices.
  • UI Development: Develop user interfaces with GEL, Razor Pages, and Bootstrap to enhance user experience.
  • Modernize Architecture: Plan and execute the modernization of existing application architectures and codebases.
  • Backend Architecture: Architect high-performance, secure backend systems and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for each project.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Maintain positive relationships across departments, handle challenging issues, and manage multiple tasks and requests effectively.

Skills & Qualifications:

Required:

  • .NET Framework/Core: Strong knowledge of .NET Framework and .NET Core.
  • Proficiency in C#: Expertise in C# and a solid understanding of the associated ecosystems.
  • JavaScript: Strong proficiency in JavaScript for both backend and frontend development.
  • UI Development: Experience with GEL, Razor Pages, and Bootstrap for building modern user interfaces.
  • Object-Oriented Programming: Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Reusable Libraries: Ability to write and maintain reusable libraries.
  • Design Patterns: Familiarity with various design and architectural patterns.
  • Concurrency: Knowledge of concurrency patterns and their application.
  • Database Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, experience creating database schemas that support business processes.
  • Automated Testing: Experience with automated testing platforms and writing unit tests.
  • Code Versioning: Proficiency in Git for version control.
  • Web Application Frameworks: Experience with popular web application frameworks (CSS, JS).

Preferred:

  • Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience in the railroad and/or transportation/logistics industries, with a combined experience of 7+ years.
  • Python Programming: Python programming experience is a plus.
  • Database Design: Experience with database design and dimensional modeling.
  • Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with AWS.
  • Data Analytics & Machine Learning: Work experience in data analytics, machine learning, or modeling.
