Please Note: This role does have an onsite requirement of 5-days per week!
Position Overview & Responsibilities:
The Systems Engineer will be will be handling Linux support and proxy server support and be responsible for managing enterprise Linux systems and VMware virtualization infrastructure. They have clients with several instances in GDT, VMWare & OCI that this person will also support. This person needs to be a strong Linux Engineer to work on migrations and consolidation of data centers into the cloud (Azure & OCI) – They manage about 600 virtual machines. The ideal candidate is willing to jump in wherever the need is and help in as many areas as they have the skills to do so!
Top Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience as a systems admin/engineer supporting windows & linux environments
- 2+ years’ experience managing cloud environments (Azure or OCI)
- 2+ years’ experience managing virtualization environments (VMware vSphere or Red Hat KVM based virtual machines)
- Strong knowledge of Linux system security & networking
Ideal Skills:
- Security +, CISSP
