IDR is seeking a  100% Remote Senior QA Engineer to join one of our top clients in Las Vegas. This role is a key contributor to the engineering team, responsible for QA testing of various windows and web applications used by both internal and external customers.

Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Sr QA Engineer:

  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to understand business processes and system functionality

  • Break down complex business requirements to perform detailed technical analysis, solution design, and work estimation

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

  • Write and execute manual tests that cover new and existing features

  • Create and run automated tests for front-end UI and back-end API features

  • Collaborate with Support to understand and reproduce issues being experienced in production

  • Solve problems both individually and through close collaboration within the engineering team

  • Provide level two/three production support for assigned technology systems

  • Maintain up-to-date solution documentation in the technology knowledge repository

  • Keep up with changes in QA testing tools and technologies

  • Participate in the Agile development process by contributing to daily standups, release planning, demos, and retrospectives

Required Skills for Sr QA Engineer:

  • 5+ years of QA engineering/analysis experience

  • Experience with a wide variety of testing tools and types of QA testing such as regression, smoke, security, integration, usability, etc.

  • Experience working with JSON objects, RESTful APIs, and API tools such as Postman and Swagger

  • Experience with technologies such as .NET, SQL Server, T-SQL, and an understanding of data

  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Playwright

  • Knowledge of the Agile software development life cycle and concepts of software engineering
