IDR is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our client in Colorado Springs. This is a permanent, onsite role based in Colorado Springs, CO.
Position Overview for the Senior Software Engineer:
- Develop and maintain enterprise applications, primarily utilizing Java/J2EE technologies, on Linux (with some Windows experience desired).
- Lead small Agile teams, mentoring and guiding junior engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Use common software development tools such as Maven, Git/GitHub, Nexus, and Eclipse.
- Design and implement software systems using Java foundation classes and related toolkits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system functionality and integration across different platforms.
- Create and understand standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams.
Required Skills for the Senior Software Engineer:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- IAT Level II certification required.
- Active SECRET clearance required.
- 7+ years of experience with an advanced degree or 9+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or development.
- Strong Java/J2EE experience with a focus on enterprise application development.
- Extensive experience with Java foundation classes and toolkits.
- Proven experience in leading small teams, preferably within an Agile development environment.
- Proficiency in using tools such as Maven, Git/GitHub, Nexus, and Eclipse.
- Strong understanding of Use Cases and SysML diagrams.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of server-side/database development and computer system administration.
- Experience with Net-centric, horizontal integration programs is a plus.

Compensation Details:
$115-117k/year, competitive salary based on experience.
