Position Overview for the Payroll Administrator:  

  • Accurate Payroll Data Management: Compile, track, and enter payroll data such as hours worked, vacation, personal and holiday hours, taxes, and union dues into the payroll system. Ensure data accuracy and completeness to maintain payroll integrity.

  • Payroll Processing and Auditing: Follow established procedures to process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll cycles. Review wage calculations, audit timekeeping records, and correct discrepancies to ensure precise payroll execution.

  • Handling Sensitive Payroll Transactions: Prepare and issue manual checks as necessary. Validate pay rate changes, address updates, and direct deposit details. Process and audit new hires, terminations, retro transactions, wage garnishments, and tax setups for compliance and accuracy.

  • Support and Issue Resolution: Resolve payroll questions and time-tracking inquiries through the People Connect portal (ServiceNow). Provide guidance and collaborate with team members on payroll-related topics and assist in special projects or audit requests as assigned by management.

Required Skills for the Payroll Administrator:  

  • Educational Background and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field, with 0-3 years of experience in payroll management or a similar role. Preferred: Fundamental Payroll Professional (FPP) designation and experience with Workday Payroll and Time Tracking or equivalent systems.

  • Technical Skills and Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with significant knowledge of payroll systems and processes. Familiarity with FLSA, Federal and State laws, and advanced payroll administration techniques.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills to gather and analyze information, identify and resolve issues promptly, and make sound decisions based on available data. Ability to handle multiple complex tasks effectively without compromising work quality.

  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Strong attention to detail, organization, and customer service focus, ensuring all inquiries and issues are addressed in a timely and accurate manner.

Compensation Details:$31.29/hour W2. NOT OPEN TO C2C.
