Position Overview for the Scheduler II:  

  • Schedule Coordination: Maintain accurate scheduling for specialized procedures, coordinating with physicians’ offices and related departments, while verifying room and equipment availability to ensure smooth operations.

  • Clerical Support: Perform general clerical duties such as answering phones, greeting patients, and maintaining updated patient service schedules, ensuring timely and organized documentation.

  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all job responsibilities adhere to department standards, policies, and local, state, and federal regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety by protecting Protected Health Information (PHI).

  • Team and Patient Interaction: Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families, and healthcare providers through effective communication, and provide orientation or assistance to new staff members when necessary.

Required Skills for the Scheduler II:  

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required, with at least 1 year of relevant scheduling or clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

  • Medical Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical terminology, diagnostic tests, surgeries, and procedures, with the ability to interpret written, oral, or scheduled instructions.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, supervisors, patients, and hospital personnel, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills: Well-developed time management and organizational abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks, working within standardized procedures, resolving standard issues, and managing interruptions in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation Details:$22-$24/hr. W2. NOT OPEN TO C2C.
