IDR is seeking a Accounting Supervisor to join one of our top clients in Nashville, TN. This role is responsible for leading the analysis and review of the monthly accounting close process and assisting with the timely and accurate preparation of branch-level financial statements. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Accounting Supervisor:
– Direct general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements.
– Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
– Review, create and post journal entries. Prepare and review monthly balance sheet account analyses for assigned areas of responsibility.
– Direct financial support and analyze variations from budget and trend.
– Supervise the work of others, including planning, assigning and scheduling work, reviewing work and ensuring quality standards, training staff and overseeing productivity.
Required Skills for Accounting Supervisor:
– Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 5+ years of direct related experience.
– Good written and verbal communication skills. Intermediate to excellent skill level in Microsoft Excel.
– Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and FASB regulations and procedures. Ability to formulate policy and document processes and procedures.
– Demonstrated ability to create, organize and maintain Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.
– Must demonstrate initiative, leadership, and the ability to communicate effectively. Possess strong work ethic and commitment to completing responsibilities.
