Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Technician to join our team. This role involves performing tasks related to the packing and shipping of products, managing finished goods inventory, and ensuring shipments comply with all regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management and shipping operations.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Pack and Ship Orders: Prepare and pack both domestic and international orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipping regulations.
- Manage Inventory: Oversee the storage, rotation, and transfer of inventory within the warehouse, maintaining accurate records.
- Prepare Shipping Documentation: Generate and organize labels and paperwork for FedEx, DHL, UPS, and Freight Forwarders, coordinating pick-ups as needed.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and perform routine maintenance on department equipment such as computers, printers, and tape machines.
- Conduct Inventory Audits: Perform weekly cycle counts and participate in year-end physical inventory to ensure accurate stock levels.
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
- Inventory Management: Proven experience in managing and organizing inventory within a warehouse setting, including conducting cycle counts and audits.
- Shipping and Packaging: Experience in packing and preparing orders for shipment, with a strong understanding of both domestic and international shipping regulations.
- Shipping Systems Proficiency: Ability to prepare shipping labels and documentation using systems like FedEx, DHL, UPS, and Freight Forwarders.
- Equipment Proficiency: Experience operating and maintaining warehouse equipment, such as computers, printers, and tape machines.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of regulatory requirements for international shipments, with the ability to work closely with regulatory teams to ensure compliance.
