Position Overview for the Cloud Engineer III:
-
Linux Proficiency and Management: Leverage deep expertise in Linux, including SELinux, daemon management, user management, storage solutions, and log analysis, to ensure system stability and security within mission-critical environments.

Network Configuration and Proxy Management: Implement and manage network methodologies, particularly using Squid for transit proxy configurations, alongside configuring and optimizing nginx reverse proxies to enhance network performance and security.

Containerization and Virtual Desktop Management: Administer and troubleshoot Docker environments, including Docker Compose, and integrate JFrog/Artifactory for efficient container registry management. Additionally, manage Guacamole virtual desktops and user provisioning with XRDP to streamline remote access for users.

Systems Engineering and Automation: Engage in full-cycle systems engineering, from capability derivation to fielded product delivery, and develop custom bash scripts to automate routine tasks, enhancing system efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
Required Skills for the Cloud Engineer III:

Cloud and Containerization Expertise: Demonstrate over 10 years of experience in Cloud/System Engineering, with strong proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3) and Docker/Containerization technologies, essential for supporting critical USAF program operations.

Systems-of-Systems Integration and Agile Methodology: Possess experience in the definition, development, and integration of systems-of-systems, coupled with a background in Agile methodologies, enabling seamless collaboration and iterative development within complex environments.

High-Level Needs Analysis and Structured Requirement Definition: Capable of analyzing high-level customer needs, deriving structured and logical requirements, and transforming these into integrated capabilities that lead to fielded products.

Security Clearance and Communication Skills: Hold an active Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI preferred), with strong communication skills necessary for effectively liaising with end clients, ensuring clear, concise, and timely project updates in highly secure environments.

Compensation Details:$140,000/year to $165,000/year W2. NOT OPEN TO C2C.
