Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Linux SysOps Technical Lead:
– Oversee Linux-based infrastructures and Linux/Unix administration
– Utilize configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Github
– Scripting using languages such as Bash, Python, and Perl
– Manage virtualization and containerization technologies like VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes
– Troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues
– Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot software applications
– This is a long-term contract (1+ year) with the possibility of annual renewal
Required Skills for Linux SysOps Technical Lead:
– Expertise in Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
– Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl)
– Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Github)
– Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
– Understanding of network protocols, services, and security
– Experience with databases such as SQL, MS SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, Oracle, and/or Mongo
– 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration
– 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
