Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Patient Service Representative:
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle frequent in-person patient interactions while maintaining and documenting data effectively in patient registration systems.
- Proven ability to work efficiently across multiple computer systems, including patient registration/accounting systems, telephone consoles, document imaging, scanning, payment posting, proprietary payer websites, and data quality monitoring.
- General knowledge of patient access and financial counseling in both acute and non-acute settings.
- Working understanding of insurance and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) and Consent Laws.
Required Skills:
- Must have experience overseeing administrative processes with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Prior experience verifying documentation accurately and completely.
- Experience in a front office setting, including checking in and verifying patient information.
- Must be comfortable with and proficient in operating Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the inpatient/outpatient registration/scheduling environment and hospital operations, procedures/functions and the relationships between them.

Compensation Details: $21/hour w2
