Tier 2 Systems Support Engineer

IDR is seeking a Tier 2 Systems Support Engineer for one of our top clients in Atlanta, GAIf you are looking for an opportunity to join a large organization and work within an ever-growing team-oriented culture, please apply today!

This role follows a hybrid work schedule with 3 days onsite, and 2 days remote each week in Tampa. FL.

Responsibilities of the Tier 2 Systems Support Engineer:

  • Utilize phone, email, chat, and remote tools to troubleshoot and resolve end user issues.
  • Install software, updates, patches for servers, networks, and workstations.
  • Configure and manage support servers, firewalls, and peripheral equipment.
  • Handle escalations from tier 1 engineers.
  • Provide onsite customer support as needed.
  • Assist with design, planning, and deployment of technology into client environment.
Required Skills for the Tier 2 Systems Support Engineer:
  • Must have prior experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting network and server issues.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting virtual and physical servers as well as network hardware & software.
  • Firm knowledge and experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, M365, Exchange, etc.
  • Prior network experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and/or access points.
