Communications Specialist
IDR’s largest client is seeking an Communications Specialist to join its team! This is a hybrid position located in Atlanta, Georgia

Responsibilities of the Communications Specialist include:

  • Develop and deliver conferences, seminars, and speeches for community and civic organizations.
  • Identify target audiences and devise effective communication strategies.
  • Assist in formulating and evaluating communication plans, considering various factors.
  • Support IT communication initiatives.
  • Foster positive relationships with the local business community, internal and external agency stakeholders, and other relevant contacts.
  • Create and distribute informational materials across multiple media platforms as necessary.
  • Organize and manage meetings and special events.
  • Address routine inquiries about the organization, either by providing direct answers or directing queries to the appropriate channels.
  • Collaborate with the NextGen Change Management Lead and Communications Lead to devise communication plans tailored to project-specific needs for both internal and external stakeholders

Required skills/experience of the Communications Specialist include:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field AND 2+ years of experience in communications
  • Experience drafting content and creating presentations.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication.
  • Experience crafting speeches and presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Website content creation skills.
  • Basic problem-solving and analytics.
