Position Overview for the Technical Writer:
- Develop and maintain a variety of technical documents, including user manuals, installation guides, release notes, API documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with software developers and subject matter experts to gather information and understand technical concepts to create accurate and relevant documentation.
- Structure documentation in a logical and user-friendly manner, making complex technical information understandable to a non-technical audience.
- Keep documentation up-to-date with product changes and improvements, ensuring that all information remains accurate and relevant.
- Work closely with software developers, product managers, and subject matter experts to produce high-quality technical documentation.
Required Skills for the Cybersecurity Technical Writer:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Technical Writing, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a technical writer in the software industry, with a strong portfolio of published documentation.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems.
- Strong understanding of software development concepts and the ability to explain complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
