IDR is seeking a Sr. AI Systems & Applications Engineer to join one of our top hyperscale data center clients for an opportunity in Plano, TX.
This role involves leading the design and deployment of advanced AI ecosystems, focusing on secure, enterprise-grade applications utilizing Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, MS Fabric, and related technologies. The company operates within the cutting-edge AI and data solutions industry, emphasizing governance, security, and scalable AI application development.
Position Overview for the Sr. AI Systems & Applications Engineer:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of agentic and multi-agentic AI workflows using Azure-based tools.
- Architect and manage enterprise data pipelines within MS Fabric OneLake, ensuring data readiness for RAG and fine-tuning models.
- Implement robust security and identity management using MS Entra, OAuth, and Managed Identities for secure AI tool access.
- Configure and maintain governance frameworks with MS Purview to ensure compliance and data safety across AI interactions.
- Build and maintain MCP servers and custom tools to enable AI agents to securely connect with internal and external data sources.
Requirements for the Sr. AI Systems & Applications Engineer:
- Extensive experience with Generative AI & LLM engineering, including deploying GPT-4, GPT-3.5, and small language models.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills, including Chain-of-Thought, ReAct, and few-shot prompting techniques.
- Proven expertise in building and deploying AI agents with tool calling, memory, and multi-agent architectures.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem tools such as AI Foundry, Fabric, OneLake, and Purview.
- Skilled in AI application development using Python (FastAPI, LangChain, Semantic Kernel), TypeScript, and C# for enterprise AI solutions.
