IDR is seeking a UX Researcher to join one of our top clients for an on-site opportunity in Richardson, TX. This role involves leading comprehensive user research initiatives within a complex hardware-software environment focused on consumer IoT, heavy equipment controls, and B2B portal networks. The position offers a chance to influence product design by advocating for user needs through data-driven strategies and cross-functional collaboration.

Position Overview for the UX Researcher:

  • Lead mixed-method research projects across diverse technological ecosystems, including IoT and B2B platforms.
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies, including usability testing, surveys, and interviews.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and UX teams to translate research findings into actionable product insights.
  • Manage user recruitment, conduct contextual inquiries, and synthesize data into compelling stories.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve accessible design practices and user experience.

Requirements for the UX Researcher:

  • 3+ years of experience planning and executing qualitative and quantitative research, including usability testing, contextual inquiry, surveys, and interviews.
  • 3+ years partnering with Product, UX Design, and Engineering teams to translate user insights into impactful product decisions.
  • Strong understanding of studying diverse B2B and B2C user groups in complex ecosystems.
  • Experience navigating smart device workflows and managing centralized research repositories.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-disciplinary teams.
