IDR is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Charlottesville, VA. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with extensive experience supporting complex IT systems. The company operates within the technology and enterprise support industry, focused on delivering top-tier infrastructure solutions to clients.
Position Overview for the Junior Systems Administrator:
- Provide expert-level support to end users, handling escalations from lower-tier support teams
- Independently diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, network, and system issues
- Set up, configure, and deliver endpoint devices with required security and software settings
- Support and maintain endpoint management systems, user profiles, and workstation configurations
- Develop and run light scripts to automate tasks and enhance operational efficiency
Requirements for the Junior Systems Administrator:
- 8–10 years of hands-on IT support experience, including at least 2–3 years at a Tier 3/4 level
- Strong understanding of endpoint deployment, configuration, imaging, and software provisioning
- Familiarity with enterprise software deployment tools and ticketing systems (e.g., SCCM, Intune, ServiceNow)
- Basic scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or similar
- Ability to read and interpret system architecture diagrams and technical documentation
