IDR is seeking a Data Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Alpharetta, GA. This role involves designing and implementing secure, high-performance data pipelines and building scalable data products within a remote work environment. The company operates within the payment processing industry, focusing on data infrastructure and analytics solutions
Position Overview for the Data Engineer:
- Design, develop, and implement optimized and secure ETL data pipelines from various sources
- Identify and address operational challenges by creating data products and data marts for reliable, fast data access
- Create data marts for reliable and fast data access
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to meet data infrastructure needs
- Establish unit tests and monitoring systems for data quality and efficient correction operations
Requirements for the Data Engineer:
- 8+ years of hands-on technical experience in software development, data structures, and algorithms
- 2+ years of experience in Snowflake
- 1+ year of technical leadership experience, leading project teams and setting technical direction
- Proficiency in cloud platforms and services such as AWS (Redshift, Kinesis, EMR) or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub)
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra
